SIDNEY — The Shelby County Liberty Group will host a town hall meeting, Jan. 28, on immigration, featuring Robert E. Najmulski, Northeast United States field representative of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

His talk will begin at 7 p.m. in the VFW hall, 2841 Wapakoneta Ave., and is open to the public.

Najmulski has been the Northeast U.S. field representative of FAIR since 2009. Prior to that he was with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and also the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, both in California. He also served in the Allen County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio.

FAIR is a national, nonprofit, public interest organization of concerned citizens sharing the belief that U.S. immigration policies need to be reformed. FAIR seeks to stop illegal immigration and to improve border security. According to Najmulski, FAIR’s ” grassroots networks help concerned citizens use their voices to speak up for effective, sensible immigration policies that work for American’s best interests.” He adds that FAIR’s “publications and research are used by academics and government officials in preparing new legislation.”

According to Najmulski, “National media regularly turn to FAIR to understand the latest immigration developments and to shed light on the complex subject.”

Najmulski will answer questions after his presentation.
