Morning crash injures 2

GREENVILLE – A crash on US 127 sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries Thursday morning.

On Jan. 21 about 9:17 a.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of U.S. Route 127 and Hunter Road on a report of a two-vehicle injury crash.

According to the preliminary investigation, a silver 2010 Honda Odyssey driven by Bernice Lefeld, 46, of St. Henry, was southbound on 127 slowing for the vehicle in front of her to make a right hand turn onto Hunter Road when she was rear-ended by a green 2000 Chevrolet Venture mini van driven by Michael Gower, 31, ofGreenville.

Both drivers were transported to Wayne HealthCare for minor injuries by Greenville Township Rescue.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
