Ansonia, Mississinawa Valley and Versailles bowling teams win WOHSBC matches

VERSAILLES – Darke County’s girls bowling teams went 3-0 in West Ohio High School Bowling Conference action on Saturday at McBo’s Lanes in Versailles.

The Ansonia girls beat Minster by four pins, 1,991-1,987. Katlynn Yeagle led the Tigers with games of 151 and 148, Madison Stover had games of 136 and 163, Jordan Campbell had games of 140 and 126, Rebecca Thornhill had games of 138 and 126, and Meghan Wilson rolled games of 135 and 108.

The Mississinawa Valley girls beat New Bremen 1,944-1,776. Kayla Harris led the Blackhawks with games of 154 and 140, Spencer Warren had games of 145 and 147, Tiffany Westfall had games of 148 and 104, Payton Reichard had games of 122 and 113, Tabitha Richards rolled a 135, and Audree Weimer rolled a 115.

The Versailles girls beat Fort Loramie 2,277-1,694. Hannah Niekamp led the Tigers with games of 201 and 184, Maggie Hedrick had games of 158 and 165, Makenzie Berning had games of 140 and 180, Morgan Hietkamp rolled a 151, Brigette Holsapple rolled a 145, and Jamee Brown rolled a 143.

The Versailles girls improved to 7-3 overall, the Mississinawa Valley girls improved to 4-6, and the Ansonia girls improved to 3-7 with their wins.

The Mississinawa Valley and Versailles boys bowling teams also won their WOHSBC matches.

The Versailles boys beat New Bremen 2,480-1,888. Alex Groff led the Tigers with games of 205 and 168, Michael Hemmelgarn had games of 148 and 181, Jacob Wenig rolled a 175, Brandon Bradley rolled a 174, Luke Shellhass rolled a 167, Aydan Moran rolled a 159, and Quayd Pearsom rolled a 159.

The Mississinawa Valley boys beat Marion Local 2,472-2,332. Joe Teeter led the Blackhawks with games of 162 and 194, Brandon White had games of 143 and 178, Andrew Reichard had games of 132 and 181, Alex Longfellow had games of 147 and 142, and Dilyn Rammal rolled a pair of 143 games.

The Ansonia boys lost 2,589-1,916 to Minster. John Fischer led the Tigers with games of 144 and 189, Seth Philippi had games of 162 and 169, Trent Rader had games of 130 and 158, Jedd Rismiller had games of 123 and 100, Jeremy Rismiller rolled a 79, and Allen Christman rolled a 63.

The Versailles boys improved to 6-4 and the Mississinawa Valley boys improved to 4-6 with their wins. The Ansonia boys fell to 1-9.

The WOHSBC teams will conclude the regular season on Saturday at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater. The girls teams will bowl at 9:45 a.m. with Ansonia facing Coldwater, Mississinawa Valley facing Marion Local and Versailles facing Fort Recovery. The boys will bowl at 1 p.m. with Ansonia facing Coldwater, Mississinawa Valley facing St. Henry and Versailles facing Minster.
