BRANDT – The Arcanum girls basketball team won its regular season finale on Thursday, defeating Cross County Conference foe Bethel 34-18.

Bethel led 11-6 at the end of the first quarter and 13-7 at halftime. Arcanum held Bethel scoreless in the third quarter to take a 22-13 lead and won 34-18.

Stevie Johnting led Arcanum with 12 points in the game. Also for the Lady Trojans, Alexis Abner scored eight points, McKenzie Sharritts scored six, Madison O’Daniel scored four, Rebecca Deao scored two, and Abby Ross scored two.

Kayla Grable led Bethel with eight points while Alaina Hawthorne scored six, Morgan Crase scored two, and Becky Sweiterman scored two.

Arcanum improved to 13-9 overall and 9-3 in the CCC with the win. Bethel fell to 10-11 overall and 7-5 in the CCC.
