UNION CITY – Union City Police Department Special Entry Tactical Team (SETT) served a search warrant after a lengthy investigation which concluded in the early hours Friday morning.

Three people were arrested after officers’ located drugs, paraphernalia and items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

“Drug investigations remain a top priority in Union City. We are attacking the issue from all directions. These arrests are a must to remove the drugs, but we are also using education in our schools, as well as working to get those struggling with addiction the help they need. This investigation was a successful start to 2016,” said Detective Justin Gower.

On February 5 at approximately 12:17 a.m., members of Union City SETT served a no knock search warrant at 719 W Hickory St, in Union City, Indiana. Officers identified eight people during the warrant service, five were children. The children range in ages of one to seven years old. Department of Children Services was contacted, and the children were transported to St. Vincent Randolph for evaluation.

During the search, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia and remnants of a methamphetamine lab. The residence had to be vacated until the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Unit could render the materials safe. No one was injured during the warrant service and more arrests are expected stemming from this investigation.

Dustin Brock, 27 of Union City, Ohio and Tiffany Barnes, 26 of Eaton, Ohio were arrested for:visiting a common nuisance- B Misdemeanor, possession of methamphetamine- level 6 felony, possession of precursors- level 6 felony, manufacturing methamphetamine- level 5 felony and reckless possession of paraphernalia C Misdemeanor.

Sierra Bolin, 24 of Union City, Indiana was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance- level 6 felony, possession of methamphetamine- level 6 felony, possession of precursors- level 6 felony, manufacturing methamphetamine- level 5 felony, dumping controlled substance waste- level 6 felony, possession of marijuana- B misdemeanor, reckless possession of paraphernalia- C misdemeanor and five counts of neglect of a dependent- level 6 felony. At the time of this release, all three are still incarcerated in the Randolph County jail.
