RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. – A man died in a head-on collision with a semi truck on an Indiana roadway Friday morning.
On February 12 at 8:39 a.m. Randolph County Deputy’s along with personnel from the Farmland Rescue, Farmland police department, West Union Fire Department, Culbertson EMS service and the Randolph County Coroner responded to the fatal accident that occurred on State Road 1 south of County Road 900 south in Randolph County, Indiana.
The preliminary investigation indicated Robert L. Halcomb, 42, of Centerville Indiana was operating a 2013 Semi tractor and trailer traveling north bound on State Road 1 just south of County Road 900 S.
Monty H Ervin, 31, of Farmland, Indiana was traveling south bound on State Road 1 operating 1992 Buick when be drove left of center colliding in a head on collision with the Semi operated by Robert Halcomb.
Upon arrival of the Randolph county coroner Monte H. Ervin was pronounced dead on the scene.
