Ansonia FFA hosts a leadership night

ANSONIA – In December, the Ansonia FFA chapter hosted a Leadership Night.

Members from other schools attended, including Tri- Village, Franklin Monroe, Versailles and Greenville.

State President Matthew Klopfenstein visited the school to help host the event and was accompanied by State Vice President Mary Buehler.

This year’s meeting was all about service opportunities, and how members can contribute themselves and their time to help benefit the community, focusing especially on the issue of hunger.

Attendees broke into groups to discuss what service meant them and how to serve in both a personal and worldly way. As inspiration to get their ideas flowing, members were asked to read short stories on how other people have served in both these areas.

After sharing their ideas, participants were tested on facts about poverty and hunger in the world, and each FFA chapter was challenged to find a way for their chapter to help overcome hunger in their community.
