Greenville bowling teams place 15th at GWOC meet

BEAVERCREEK – The Greenville boys and girls bowling teams both finished 15th out of 18 teams at the Greater Western Ohio Conference’s postseason meet on Saturday at Beaver-Vu Bowl.

The Greenville boys rolled games of 794, 836 and 884 for a three-game series of 2,514. The Green Wave had baker games of 157, 204, 164, 173, 178 and 139 to give them a total score of 3,529. The Wave finished fifth out of six GWOC North teams, defeating Trotwood-Madison.

Tyler Netzley led the Greenville boys as he rolled games of 189, 185 and 205 for a 579 three-game series, placing 27th overall. Cullen Blinn had games of 181, 155 and 191 to place 46th with a 527 series. Ted Klepinger rolled games of 163, 163 and 199 for a series of 525 to finish 47th. Malachi Flatter had a 446 series with games of 158, 158 and 130 to place 60th. Dylan Stepp rolled a 175 and a 159.

The Greenville girls had a three-game series of 2,392 with games of 794, 828 and 770. The Lady Wave rolled baker scores of 141, 167, 157, 127, 113 and 130 to give them a total score of 3,227. They finished fifth out of six GWOC North teams, finishing ahead of Trotwood-Madison.

Individually for the Greenville girls Mariah Kohlhorst finished 33rd with games of 161, 188 and 177 for a three-game series of 526. Alejandra Segura rolled games of 167, 166 and 145 for a three-game series of 478, placing 53rd overall. Mackenzie Slade had games of 162, 178 and 125 for a 465 series to finish 56th. Zoe Fields rolled games of 153 and 167, Jessica Rieman rolled games of 169 and 143, Leslie Miller rolled a 156, and Haley Dillman rolled a 135.

The Greenville bowling teams will compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association sectional tournament this week at Poelking South Lanes in Dayton. The boys will compete at 9 a.m. Wednesday while the girls will compete at 9 a.m. Thursday.
