Tri-Village boys basketball team ranked 5th in season’s final AP poll

COLUMBUS – In the final Associated Press boys basketball poll of the 2015-16 season Tri-Village is ranked fifth in Division IV.

Tri-Village moved up one spot from last week’s poll, bypassing in the state rankings. Van Wert Lincolnview, Mogadore, Gorham Fayette and Defiance Ayersville remained ahead of the Patriots in the state rankings.

Tri-Village has been ranked in all six of the AP’s state polls this season, ranging from second through seventh. The Patriots are the only Darke County team ranked in this week’s poll. Versailles was ranked in the first two polls of the season before falling out of the rankings.

A couple other schools with local connections are ranked this week. Wayne from the Greater Western Ohio Conference is ranked No. 1 in Division I, and Trotwood-Madison from the GWOC is ranked No. 4 in Division II.

Below are the top 10 teams in the Associated Press Ohio high school basketball poll with first-place votes in parentheses, won-loss record and total points:
