Plessinger arrested on probabtion violation

UNION CITY – Police officers arrested Dean Plessinger on a felony warrant for a probation violation on Saturday.

On March 26 just before noon, officers from the Union City Ohio and Union City Indiana Police Departments responded to 206 S. Division Street, Union City, Ohio where they received information that there were wanted persons on the property.

Upon arrival to the location officers observed Plessinger arrive in a vehicle. Officers were very familiar with Plessinger and knew he had a felony warrant out of Randolph County, Indiana for a probation violation.

Plessinger exited out of the vehicle he was operating and entered into a commercial building shutting and locking the door behind him. Officer knocked on the door and announced for Plessinger to exit out of the building but he refused.

A perimeter was held on the building and a search warrant was obtained by the Union City Ohio Police Department. The Union City Police Department SETT (Special Entry Tactical Team) arrived on the scene. Multiple commands were given over a PA system for Plessinger to exit out of the building, however he refused. The SETT Team then entered into the building searching for Plessinger.

Plessinger was located inside of the building. Plessinger was then placed under arrest and transported to the Darke County Sheriff’s Jail, where he was placed into the custody of the on­duty jail staff and held on charges of being a Fugitive From Justice.
