Suspicious fires hit Bradford over holiday

BRADFORD — Two fires that occurred early morning Sunday in Bradford are being investigated by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

The first Easter morning fire was reported at approximately 2 a.m. at a garage in the area of Pearl and Clay streets. Not long after that, another fire was reported on the 400 block of N. Miami Street. There were no reported injuries at either fire.

The causes of the fires are still under investigation. The total damage of the fires is unknown at this time.

Witnesses who saw someone in either of those areas at or before 2 a.m. are asked to contact the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

“If anybody saw anybody in the area, give us a call,” Detective Jim Wysong said. “We’d appreciate any assistance.”
