Alexander earns elite scholarship

ANSONIA — Austin Alexander, son of Gary and Bonnie Alexander of Ansonia, has earned an elite academic scholarship to attend Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Alexander, a senior at Ansonia High School, will pursue a degree in networking at Indiana Tech. He, along with other elite scholarship recipients, received his award at a banquet in Fort Wayne on March 4. He will receive the Engineering and Computer Sciences Scholarship that is $15,000 for his freshman year, and $15,000 for each of the next three years, provided he meets the school’s academic criteria.

Alexander participates in track and field and cross country, and is a member of National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and Business Professionals of America.

Indiana Tech was established in 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as an engineering college.
