Arcanum baseball team beats Mississinawa Valley 12-0

UNION CITY – The Arcanum baseball traveled to Mississinawa Valley on Wednesday for a game that was very exciting for the first two innings as both the Trojans and the Blackhawks held each scoreless early.

This then changed in the top of the third inning, though. Trojans got up to bat and scored one to go up 1-0.

The top of the fourth ended up much like the third inning. This time the Trojans scored three to make the score 4-0.

The fifth inning both tams held each other, keeping the score 4-0. In the top of the sixth inning, though, the Trojans scored two more and in the seventh they scored six, making the game a 12-0 final.

Arcanum had 13 hits in the game. Mississinawa Valley had five hits. Unfortunately for the Blackhawks, they could not do anything with the hits. Both teams had three errors.

Getting hits during the game for the Trojans were three from Cody Meeks, two from Austin Baker, two from Hunter Saunders, two from Hayden Westfall plus one each from Jordan Dubbs, Brandon Kinney, Nate Kubik and Conner Pohl.

Baker, Dubbs, Pohl, Saunders and Westfall each had two RBIs for Arcanum while Kinney and Kubik both had one.

For Mississinawa Devan Rinderle had two hits while hits also came from Tyler Jenkinson, Colyn Nelson and Trent Collins.
