TIPP CITY — A free health fair for all members of the family is being offered by the GIVE Medical Ministry from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the Covington Eagles Hall, 715 Broadway, Covington.

Along with valuable health information, a free healthy breakfast and door prizes will be offered to those attending. The free annual health fair is an outstanding opportunity for local residents to improve their health and to learn about services provided by Miami County health organizations.

There are more than 25 healthcare organizations participating in the third annual GIVE Health Fair, including Alzheimer Association, Dayton Children’s Hospital (respiratory), Hospice of Miami County, Miami Valley Hospital Breast Center, Riverside Developmental Disabilities and Upper Valley Center for Sports Medicine.

All members of the family can participate in free health screenings such as hearing, vision, cholesterol and diabetes tests, skin cancer screening, respiratory, physical therapy and massage therapy. Literature and consultations will be available on topics such as cancer, heart health, nutrition, nursing home care, how to access the free clinic, medication review by pharmacists and free medical supply delivery.

If you or a loved one is taking multiple medications, pharmacy professors and students from Cedarville University – School of Pharmacy will be available to review your medications and discuss proper administration, potential drug interactions and proper disposal of old medications. To take advantage of this review, bring your medications with you to the GIVE Health Fair.

Contact Tom Downs, GIVE Medical Ministry, at [email protected], 937-473-5195 or 1000 Mote Drive, Covington with any questions concerning the health fair.
