Tri-Village baseball team run rules Yellow Springs

YELLOW SPRINGS – The Tri-Village baseball team run ruled Yellow Springs 15-2 in five innings on Monday.

Tri-Village scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second, four in the third, three in the fourth and three in the fifth while limiting Yellow Springs to just two runs in the fourth inning.

Tri-Village had 13 hits and one error in the game, and Yellow Springs had four hits and five errors.

Christian Ricker picked up his second win of the season for Tri-Village as he pitched four innings and allowed two runs. Camren Munchel pitched one inning in relief for the Patriots.

Tri-Village had 11 plays get hits in Monday’s game. Mason Sullenbarger led the offense as he went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Luke Wheeler went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Tri-Village improved to 6-6 with the win.
