Greenville softball team ranked 7th in OHSFSCA state poll

GREENVILLE – The Greenville softball team is ranked seventh in Division II in the first Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association statewide poll of the 2016 season.

Greenville, which received 25 points in the season’s inaugural poll, is ranked behind Hebron Lakewood, Jonathon Alder, LeGrange Keystone, Granville, Oak Harbor and Jefferson Area in Division II. Kenton Ridge, Archbishop Hoban and Akron St. Vincent–St. Mary trail the Lady Wave in the rankings.

Greenville is the lone Darke County team to be ranked in the OHSFSCA poll this week. The Lady Wave have been ranked in 72 of the last 73 state polls.

Other teams with Darke County connection ranked in the poll include Greater Western Ohio Conference member Centerville being ranked No. 8 in Division I, Midwest Athletic Conference member Parkway being ranked No. 2 in Division IV and Cross County Conference member Covington being ranked No. 5 in Division IV.
