LIMA, Ohio – All citizens who are tired of ballooning federal government overreach, and who want to get involved in correcting the problem, will want to attend an informational meeting this Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m., at the Lima Public Library, 650 W. Market Street, Lima.
This meeting is being sponsored by Convention of States-Ohio (COS), which intends to share with citizens the Constitutional solution to return power back to the states and discuss HJR3. State of Ohio COS Director, Steve Stechschulte, will be the keynote speaker. Question and answer opportunity to follow.
The Convention of States Project is a national movement seeking to pass matching legislation in all 50 states calling for a convention of the states. Such a convention would propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution aimed at regulating spending, developing term limits for national government officials, and re-aligning states’ rights being usurped by the federal government.
Currently, Ohio’s legislative resolution calling for such a convention is stalled in an Ohio House committee. Citizens attending this meeting will find out how to assist in getting Ohio’s resolution passed. For more information, please contact dave[email protected].
