Arcanum, Franklin Monroe and Tri-Village track and field athletes qualify for OHSAA regionals

DAYTON – Arcanum, Franklin Monroe and Tri-Village all had track and field athletes qualify for regionals out of the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division III district meet at Welcome Stadium in Dayton.

The top four finishers in each event at the district meet qualified for this week’s regional meet.

Arcanum’s quartet of Mara Wetzel, Maggie Heiser, Claire Meyer and Marcy Bradshaw finished third in the girls 4×800 meter relay in a time of 10:56.94.

Arcanum’s team of Isaac Stephens, Daniel Coats, 902 Tanner Delk and Justin Vanatta finished third in the boys 4×800 meter relay with a time of 8:56.60.

Tri-Village’s Kara Hollinger finished fourth in the girls 100 meter hurdles in 17.70.

Arcanum’s Marcy Bradshaw finished third in the girls 1,600 meter run in a time of 5:35.92.

Arcanum’s Isaac Stephens finished third in the boys 1,600 meter run with a time of 4:46.62.

Arcanum’s quartet of Luke Cetnar, Luke Holsapple, Austin Gibboney and Daniel O’Donnell finished third in the boys 4×100 meter relay in a time of 46.27.

Arcanum’s Austin Gibboney won the boys 300 meter hurdles in 40.63.

Arcanum’s Marcy Bradshaw won the girls 3,200 meter run in a time of 12:13.86.

Franklin Monroe’s Cole Van Hook finished third in the boys 3,200 meter run with a time of 10:37.69.

Arcanum’s Erica Zimmer won the girls discus throw with a throw of 116 feet 7 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Tara Goubeaux finished second with a throw of 109 feet 5 inches and Franklin Monroe’s Nicole Berry finished fourth with a throw of 110 feet 5 inches.

Arcanum’s Erica Zimmer won the girls shot put with a throw of 38 feet 6 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Nicole Berry finished second with a toss of 36 feet 1 inch, Arcanum’s Michaela McGaffic finished third with a toss of 34 feet 9.75 inches and Franklin Monroe’s Hannah Eley finished fourth with a throw of 32 feet 3.75 inches.

Arcanum’s Mitchell Sink finished third in the boys shot put with a toss of 43 feet 8 inches.

Franklin Monroe’s Leighana Rautsaw finished fourth in the girls long jump with a jump of 15 feet 1.75 inches.

Arcanum’s Alexis Kreusch finished second in the girls high jump by clearing 5 feet.

Arcanum’s Marina Mehaffie won the girls pole vault by clearing 9 feet while Arcanum’s Isabella Whiting finished second by clearing 8 feet 4 inches.

Franklin Monroe’s Alex Knepshield finished third in the boys pole vault by clearing 11 feet.

Other athletes from Arcanum, Franklin Monroe and Tri-Village finished outside the top four of their events and didn’t advance.

Franklin Monroe’s quartet of Zach Gilliland, John Myers, Cole Van Hook and Ross Thayer finished sixth in the boys 4×800 meter relay in 9:24.12.

Tri-Village’s Macy Schepis finished fifth in the finals of the girls 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.00 while Franklin Monroe’s Leighana Rautsaw didn’t finish the race. Arcanum’s Trinity Layman finished 11th in the preliminaries in 18.91 while Arcanum’s Logan Garbig finished 19th in 20.53.

Arcanum’s Jimmy Barry finished 18th in the preliminaries of the boys 110 meter hurdles in a time of 27.92.

Franklin Monroe’s Allyson Masterson finished 18th in the preliminaries of the girls 100 meter dash with a time of 14.30, Arcanum’s Haleigh Shaffer finished 24th in 14.66, Arcanum’s Kelsey Hamlin finished 26th in 14.87, Franklin Monroe’s Grace Fee finished 29th in 15.27 and Tri-Village’s Alyssa Tankerskly finished 31st in 15.75.

Arcanum’s Luke Cetnar finished ninth in the preliminaries of the boys 100 meter dash in 12.27, Arcanum’s Marcus Plessinger finished 15th in 12.53, Franklin Monroe’s Cody Webb finished 20th in 12.75, Franklin Monroe’s Jordan Rhoades finished 22nd in 12.80, Tri-Village’s Tanner Jones finished 27th in 14.34 and Tri-Village’s Logan Kirk finished 29th in 14.89.

Franklin Monroe’s quartet of Allyson Masterson, Kirsten Zink, Danielle McVey and Regan Williams finished 10th in the preliminaries of the girls 4×200 meter relay with a time of 2:01.01 while Arcanum’s squad of Trinity Layman, Haleigh Shaffer, Madison Goubeaux and Alexis Kreusch finished 12th in 2:04.28.

Arcanum’s team of Austin Gibboney, Daniel Coats, Luke Cetnar and Daniel O’Donnell finished seventh in the boys 4×200 meter relay while Franklin Monroe’s team of Cole McGlinch, Corben Hartzell, Jordan Rhoades and Cody Webb finished eighth in 1:43.45.

Arcanum’s Mara Wetzel finished 16th in the girls 1,600 meter run with a time of 6:25.05, Franklin Monroe’s Saige Morrie finished 18th in 6:28.30 and Tri-Village’s Becky O’Connor finished 23rd in 7:01.37.

Arcanum’s Tanner Delk finished 11th in the finals of the boys 3,200 meter run with a time of 5:07.98 while Franklin Monroe’s Ross Thayer finished 22nd in the preliminaries in 5:37.14, Tri-Village’s Kamron Berghoff finished 27th in 6:28.09 and Tri-Village’s Cameron Armstrong finished 28th in 6:34.53. Franklin Monroe’s Cole Van Hook qualified for the finals but didn’t run.

Franklin Monroe’s quartet of Allyson Masterson, Leighana Rautsaw, Regan Williams and Danielle McVey finished 11th in the preliminaries of the girls 4×100 meter run in a time of 57.82 while Arcanum’s Haleigh Shaffer, Kayla Riegle, Madison Goubeaux and Kelsey Hamlin finished 14th in 1:00.54.

Franklin Monroe’s squad of Corben Hartzell, Cole McGlinch, Cody Webb and Jordan Rhoades finished ninth in the preliminaries of the boys 4×100 meter relay in 49.16.

Arcanum’s Claire Meyer finished 21st in the preliminaries of the girls 400 meter run in 1:16.06, Tri-Village’s Makenzie Stucky finished 23rd in 1:20.46 and Arcanum’s Maggie Heiser finished 24th in 1:21.02.

Tri-Village’s Josh Hollinger finished seventh in the finals of the boys 400 meter run with a time of 53.72 while Franklin Monroe’s Kyle Ressler finished 10th in the preliminaries in 55.91, Franklin Monroe’s Zach Gilliland finished 13th in 56.91, Arcanum’s Daniel Coats finished 14th in 57.83, Tri-Village’s Jared Quigney finished 22nd in 1:01.82 and Arcanum’s Jacob Osswald finished 24th in 1:02.64.

Arcanum’s Isabella Whiting finished 12th in the preliminaries of the girls 300 meter run in 55.58, Arcanum’s Trinity Layman finished 13th in 56.37 and Tri-Village’s Macy Schepis finished 20th in 59.48.

Arcanum’s Jimmy Barry finished 22nd in the preliminaries of the boys 300 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.68.

Arcanum’s Claire Meyer finished seventh in the finals of the girls 800 meter run in a time of 2:47.76 and Franklin Monroe’s Saige Morrie finished 13th in 3:01.07. Franklin Monroe’s Haley Robinson finished 23rd in the preliminaries in 3:08.74 and Tri-Village’s Kina Hill finished 26th in 3:27.03.

Arcanum’s Isaac Stephens finished fifth in the finals of the boys 800 meter run in 2:07.87 and Franklin Monroe’s John Myers finished eighth in 2:10.88. Arcanum’s Justin Vanatta finished 18th in the preliminaries in 2:24.31, Franklin Monroe’s Ross Thayer finished 23rd in 2:36.30 and Tri-Village’s Diego Garcia finished 27th in 2:47.59.

Franklin Monroe’s Regan Williams finished 12th in the preliminaries of the girls 200 meter dash in 28.96, Arcanum’s Alexis Kreusch finished 18th in 30.05, Franklin Monroe’s Danielle McVey finished 21st in 30.22, Tri-Village’s Paige Sloan finished 28th in 31.92 and Tri-Village’s Alyssa Tankerskly finished 31st in 33.38.

Tri-Village’s Josh Hollinger finished 11th in the preliminaries of the boys 200 meter dash with a time of 24.76, Franklin Monroe’s Jordan Rhoades finished 15th in 25.64, Franklin Monroe’s Cody Webb finished 17th in 25.88, Arcanum’s Dylan Burns finished 22nd in 26.82, Arcanum’s Marcus Plessinger finished 23rd in 26.91 and Tri-Village’s Noah Hill finished 28th in 30.32.

Arcanum’s Mara Wetzel finished 15th in the girls 3,200 meter run in 14:29.97, Franklin Monroe’s Haley Robinson finished 16th in 14:40.65 and Franklin Monroe’s Cayley Baker finished 18th in 15:13.77.

Arcanum’s Tanner Delk finished ninth in the boys 3,200 meter run in 11:25.86, Tri-Village’s Kamron Berghoff finished 22nd in 13:37.62 and Tri-Village’s Cameron Armstrong finished 23rd in 14:24.36.

Franklin Monroe’s quartet of Danielle McVey, Kirsten Zink, Regan Williams and Leighana Rautsaw finished seventh in the preliminaries of the girls 4×400 meter relay in 4:43.69 but didn’t run in the finals. Arcanum’s team of Isabella Whiting, Maggie Heiser, Claire Meyer and Alexis Kreusch finished 11th in the preliminaries in 5:12.81.

Arcanum’s squad of Isaac Stephens, Daniel Coats, Daniel O’Donnell and Austin Gibboney finished sixth in the finals of the boys 4×400 meter relay in 3:44.19 while Franklin Monroe’s team of Corben Hartzell, Kyle Ressler, Zach Gilliland and Bailey Wyan finished ninth in the preliminaries in 3:50.66.

Arcanum’s Michaela McGaffic finished ninth in the girls discus throw with a throw of 81 feet 8 inches and Tri-Village’s Kathryn Combs finished 17th with a throw of 67 feet 5 inches.

Arcanum’s Luke Holsapple finished sixth in the boys discus throw with a throw of 118 feet 4 inches, Arcanum’s Isaiah Krauss finished ninth with a throw of 113 feet 8 inches, Tri-Village’s Noah Burns finished 19th with a throw of 83 feet 6 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Adrian Nelson finished 20th with a throw of 82 feet 9 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Cole Skelton finished 21st with a throw of 79 feet 4 inches and Tri-Village’s Jackson Plush finished 22nd with a throw of 77 feet 4 inches.

Tri-Village’s Kathryn Combs finished fifth in the girls shot put with a toss of 32 feet 3.5 inches.

Arcanum’s Mike Johnson finished sixth in the boys shot put with a throw of 39 feet 2.25 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Adrian Nelson finished seventh with a throw of 38 feet 10.5 inches and Franklin Monroe’s Cole Skelton finished 17th with a toss of 32 feet 8.5 inches.

Arcanum’s Trinity Layman finished 15th in the girls long jump with a jump of 12 feet 4.5 inches, Arcanum’s Logan Garbig finished 19th with a jump of 11 feet 1 inch and Franklin Monroe’s Grace Fee finished 20th with a jump of 11 feet.

Tri-Village’s Josh Hollinger finished seventh in the boys long jump with a jump of 18 feet 10.5 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Kyle Ressler finished eighth with a jump of 18 feet 6.25 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Alex Knepshield finished 15th with a jump of 17 feet 6.5 inches, Arcanum’s Wiley Knepshield finished 25th with a jump of 14 feet 9 inches and Arcanum’s Justin Troutwine finished 26th with a jump of 13 feet 8.5 inches.

Arcanum’s Kalista Harleman finished seventh in the girls high jump by clearing 4 feet 8 inches.

Tri-Village’s Josh Hollinger finished seventh in the boys high jump by clearing 5 feet 10 inches, Franklin Monroe’s Alex Knepshield finished eighth by clearing 5 feet 8 inches and Franklin Monroe’s Kyle Ressler finished 10th by clearing 5 feet 8 inches.

Tri-Village’s Kara Hollinger finished fifth in the girls pole vault by clearing 7 feet.

Arcanum’s Dylan Burns finished sixth in the boys pole vault by clearing 10 feet 6 inches and Arcanum’s Luke Cetnar finished ninth by clearing 9 feet 6 inches.

The Arcanum, Franklin Monroe and Tri-Village regional qualifiers will continue their seasons at the OHSAA Division III regional meet at Troy High School. Competition will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday and 5 p.m. Friday.
