ANSONIA – Registration is open for the 33rd annual Firecracker Run, which is scheduled for the Fourth of July in Ansonia.
The 5K is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. July 4 at Ansonia Local Schools. Refreshments will be available at the finish line, which also is at the school, and there will be a raffle drawing following the race.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female runners plus the first place team. Also, awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division.
Special rates are available for runners and walkers who pre-register by Tuesday. The pre-registration cost is $17 for participants who would like a T-shirt or $12 without a shirt.
Race-day registration also will be available. The cost will be $20 with a shirt or $15 without a shirt. Extra shirts will be available the day of the race while supplies last.
For participants ages 14 and younger, the cost to enter the 5K is $12 with a shirt or $5 without a shirt.
Registration forms are available at Club 7 Sports, the YMCA of Darke County and any Greenville National Bank location.

The Firecracker Run is an annual 5K sponsored by the Ansonia Fire Department, Greenville National Bank, Riffle Mowing and Landscaping, Cal-Maine Foods, Pressure It! Power Washing, Versailles Painting Services, Soil Enrichment Haulers, The Whistle Stop and Ansonia Lumber Company in conjunction with the Ansonia Fourth of July Celebration.
