JAY COUNTY, Ind. – The Rural America Farm & Garden Expo will be held on September 7 – 9 at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland, Indiana (806 E. Votaw Street).
Major sponsors are: Habegger’s Ace Lumber and Building Supply of Berne & Bluffton, POET Biorefining (Portland) and the Jay County Visitors & Tourism Bureau. Also, supported, in part, by a grant from the Friends of Jay County Agriculture through The Portland Foundation.
The Expo will feature: Farm, Livestock and Garden Vendors; Implement Dealers; Farm, Garden and Educational Seminars; Austin Dillon’s American Ethanol NASCAR (9/7-9/9); FFA and 4-H Soil Judging Competition (9/7); Field, Equine and Livestock Demonstrations; Guest Speaker: Todd Inglee of Ralston Valley Beef; Cover Crops; Ag Safety, Health and Wellness; Kids Activities; Farm to Fork Dinner (9/8); Farmer’s Breakfast (9/9); Entertainment: Dumpster Drummers (9/8) and much more.
Admission to the Expo is only $5 per person or $10 per vehicle with free parking. Tickets to the Expo and Farm to Fork dinner will be available soon. The Jay County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this community-based agricultural expo designed to spotlight the region’s excellent resources of agribusinesses and related businesses to interested attendees.
Now through July 1 applications are being accepted for exhibitors, demonstrations, seminar presenters and sponsors.
