GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity volleyball team will host a summer camp for girls entering the third through eighth grades from July 25-28.

The four-day camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day at the Greenville High School gymnasium. It will be led by new varsity coach Chelsea Dowd and junior varsity coach Janelle Gerlach along with players from the Lady Wave high school volleyball team.

The cost of the camp is $25 for an individual, $10 for an additional sibling and an additional $5 for each additional sibling beyond the first. The cost includes a T-shirt for each athlete attending the camp.

If a camper has a sibling who does not fall into the third through eighth grade age range, they still are permitted to attend to attend camp as long as they have an older sibling who also will attend.

The final day of the camp will be a chance for campers to show off their new skills to their families in the form of a tournament. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles all are welcome to attend and see the progress their athletes have made through the week.

“As much as we want to see these girls make progress and fall in love with the game, we also want to make this exciting for the entire family,” Gerlach said. “We hope that this camp acts as a way to get the next generation of young athletes excited and passionate about the sport we love so much.”

To register for the camp, visit www.greenville.k12.oh.us/Volleyball.aspx and download a registration form. To be guaranteed a T-shirt, campers must register by July 11. Campers can sign up the day the camp begins but won’t be guaranteed a T-shirt.
