July 4
-6:01 a.m.: death. Police responded to a report of an unresponsive person at a residence at the 600 block of East Main Street. The deceased was transported for autopsy.
-10:28 a.m.: vandalism. A resident at the 600 block of Central Avenue reported that a tire on her vehicle had been slashed.
-2:00 p.m.: theft. An Ohio registration front plate was reported missing or stolen off a semi-truck at the 1700 block of Kitchenaid Way.
-2:26 p.m.: warrant. Thomas Rochow was arrested at the 200 block of Morrow Street on an outstanding warrant for larceny. He was transported to the Darke County Jail and held without bond.
-3:38 p.m.: warrant. Daniel Weaver was arrested at Walnut and Sixth Streets on an outstanding warrant for attempted theft. He was transported to the Darke County Jail and held without bond.
July 5
-6:04 a.m.: vandalism. A resident at the 100 block of East Water Street reported the rear window of his vehicle had been shattered.
-7:42 a.m.: vandalism. A resident at the 500 block of Wayne Avenue reported the trunk lid and passenger side door posts of his vehicle had been scratched.
-9:35 a.m.: warrant. Herman Linder was arrested at the 500 block of South Broadway on a warrant for failure to appear on two counts of OVI and failure to display license plate. He was transported to the Darke County Jail with bond set at $5,025.
July 6
-10:56 a.m.: theft. Second National Bank reported a person had cashed a company bank check drawn from a closed account in the amount of $2,950.
July 7
-5:21 p.m.: warrant. Catina McNutt was arrested at the 300 block of East Third Street on an active warrant out of Miami County for probation violation and was transferred to a Miami County Sheriff’s deputy.
-8:17 p.m.: warrant. William Duncan was arrested at the 600 block of East Fifth Street on an active warrant out of Miami County for probation violation and was transferred to a Miami County Sheriff’s deputy.
July 8
-8:48 a.m.: vandalism. A tenant at the 200 block of Hall Street reported that both her front door window and screen door window had been shattered due to a large rock being thrown through them.
July 9
-11:03 a.m.: forgery. Greenville National Bank reported two checks were cashed by the grandson of a deceased person.
