GREENVILLE — St. John Lutheran Church, Greenville, announces the arrival of their new pastor, Brian Stephen McGee.

McGee comes to Greenville from Lancaster, Ohio, where he served the past three years as an elementary music teacher at Bloom-Carroll Local Schools. Prior to teaching in the public school system, McGee taught instrumental music as well as served as chaplain at Cypress Christian Schools in Columbus.

In August 2010, McGee earned a master of divinity degree from Regent University Theological School of Divinity in Virginia Beach, and in January this year, he concluded his seminary studies in preparation of receiving his call to Word and Sacrament ministry in the North American Lutheran Church at St. Paul Lutheran Seminary and the North American Lutheran Seminary.

He has been serving the congregation at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church for the past three years. During that time, he served on the music team by playing the drums and leading in worship. In addition, McGee has also served the congregation at St. John Lutheran Church in Grove City as an assisting minister and cantor.

His ordination and installation service will be on July 24 at 3:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.

“He is delighted to receive the call to Word and Sacrament ministry in the North American Lutheran Church and excited to serve the wonderful people of Greenville,” said a spokesperson.
