Board of Elections to meet

GREENVILLE — The Darke County Board of Elections will be meeting on Monday, Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. for a regularly scheduled board meeting and also to proof the ballots for the countywide Democratic Primary Special Election to be held on September 13, 2016.

The Board meets at the Garst Government Center on Garst Avenue, Greenville.

Arcanum school board to meet

ARCANUM — The Arcanum-Butler Local Board of Education will meet on the second Thursday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. for their regular meeting and a public hearing to discuss funds received related to special education IDEA Part B.

Upcoming blood drives

DARKE COUNTY — The Darke County Retired Teachers Association will sponsor a community blood drive Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Greenville Church of the Brethren, 421 Central Ave.

Tri-Village Rescue Services in New Madison will host a community blood drive Saturday, Aug. 13 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. in the conference center, 320 North Main St.

Singles dance approaching

GREENVILLE — The Darke County Singles Club’s next dance will be Saturday, Aug. 13 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the VFW on North Ohio Street in Greenville.

Silver Mountain Band will perform.

Pumpkin Show vendors sought

BRADFORD — Attention Craft Show Vendors! The Bradford Pumpkin Show is taking vendors for 2016 Craft Show.

Dates are Oct. 7 and 8. New this year is a commercialized tent for the craft show. The space is limited and will be first come, first serve.
