GREENVILLE – The Green Wave finished sixth as the Greenville boys golf team hosted the 21st annual Greenville Boys Golf Invitational on Thursday at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
Troy won the 12 team tournament with a 313, Amherst Steele was the runner up with a 329, Beavercreek finished third with a 330, Northmont was fourth with a 358, and Tippecanoe placed fifth with a 366.
The host Green Wave finished sixth with a 374, Piqua was seventh with a 384, Sidney finished eighth with a 385, Van Wert was ninth with a 398, Fairborn placed 10th with a 402, Covington was 11th with a 445, and Bradford finished 12th with a 484.
Jason Shields led Greenville with an 18 hole round of 85. Also for the Green Wave, Logan Gonzalez shot a 90, Connor Null shot a 97, Matt Hounshell shot a 101, Andrew Kiryluk shot a 102, and Clayton Klosterman shot a 104.
Alex Swabb led Bradford with a round of 85. Also for the Railroaders, Hayden Dickerson shot a 126, Isaiah Painter shot a 131, and Eric Sanders shot a 142.
Troy’s Holden Scribner was the invitational medalist with a round of 75. Beavercreek’s Ryan Flick shot a 75, Amherst Steele’s Adam Cook shot a 76, Troy’s Nate Uhlenbrock shot a 77, Beavercreek’s Josh Sutton shot a 79, Troy’s Austin Rank shot an 80, Tippecanoe’s Brad Calhoun shot an 81, Troy’s Keaton Pfeiffer shot an 81, Covington’s Andrew Slusher shot an 81, and Amherst Steele’s Cameron Stamco shot an 81.
