Greenville girls tennis team defeats Van Wert

VAN WERT – The Greenville girls tennis team swept Van Wert 5-0 in the Lady Wave’s regular season finale on Monday.

In the first singles match Greenville’s Natalie Milligan beat Emma Verville 6-0, 7-5. In second singles the Lady Wave’s Anna Manges swept Jessie Agler 6-0, 6-0. In third singles the Wave’s Abby Swensen beat Olivia Kline 6-0, 6-2.

In the first doubles match Greenville’s Molly Hunt and Larisa Schmitmeyer beat Meghan Moonshower and Cheyenne Brown 6-2, 6-1. In second doubles the Wave’s Addie Haupt and Marabelle Lance beat Alli Kennedy and Tabatha Saam 6-4, 6-3.

Greenville improved to 13-4 with the victory and ended the regular season on a three-match winning streak.

In junior varsity action Greenville’s Alison Baughman won her singles match 8-2. The doubles team of Amber Hutt and Casey Malott won 8-0, Chloie Graves and Katie Baughman won 8-3, and Amanda Chui and Valerie Myers won 8-2.
