Murphys coming to Greenville

GREENVILLE — Pastor Sam Shilot and the congregation at Triumphant Christian Center invite the public to a free concert by The Murphys Sunday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. The church is located at 1129 South Towne Court in Greenville.

The Murphys is a Southern Gospel group out of Columbus. They have been singing as a family since the 1980s. Bishop Rick Murphy, wife Deborah, and daughters Rebekah (Murphy) Dunwoody and Christina (Murphy) Kennedy have recorded eight projects and they have had three national releases which received heavy airplay on Southern Gospel radio.

Rick is an ordained Bishop in the Church of God. He is also an evangelist, musician, singer and songwriter. Deborah is a teacher, musician, singer and songwriter. Rebekah is a music director, singer and songwriter. Christina is a musician, singer and songwriter.

This talented family presents tight harmony and perfect pitch.

“They have a great vocal range and each of them is a fantastic vocal artist,” organizers said. “More importantly they are anointed and minister through their singing.”
