HILLIARD – The Tri-Village football team lost its season finale on Saturday, falling 36-28 to Cleveland Lutheran East in overtime at Hilliard Darby High School.

Jared Buckley ran 17 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns, one touchdown going for 46 yards and the other 55 yards. Jonny Wilson ran nine times for 29 yards and a 3-yard touchdown.

Wilson was 5-of-12 passing for 69 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Gavin Richards caught four passes for 48 yards while Austin Bruner caught one pass for a 21-yard touchdown.

Tri-Village finished its first season of varsity football with a 3-7 record.

Saturday’s game marked the end of the high school football careers of Tri-Village seniors Trace Couch, Lathan Frech, Nicholas Napier, Gavin Richards, Austin Stump, Josh Wiford and Jonny Wilson.
