American Red Cross offers first-aid/CPR courses

GREENVILLE — November is a big month for food lovers! From National Sandwich Day, to National Donut Day, National Pickle Day, even National French Toast Day, there is a day for any taste!

“People will be gulping down their favorite foods all throughout the month, not just on Thanksgiving. With everyone eager to chow down, now might be a good time to learn how to save someone from choking,” said Executive Director Lynne Gump. “The Red Cross is offering a number of first-aid and CPR courses throughout November to help you prepare.”

Starting the second weekend of November and for the two weekends following, the Northern Miami Valley Chapter of the Red Cross will be offering CPR and first-aid courses. These courses will cover a variety of topics including first aid, breathing and cardiac emergency. The cost of these courses will range from $70 – $110.

“Be prepared for accidents that could occur this month, or any month. Don’t let choking be the reason the dad-jokes at the dinner table stop. You can be the one to save a life. You can be the one who is Red Cross prepared,” said Gump.
