New After Hours Clinic to open at Wilson Health

SIDNEY — Wilson Health will open a new After Hours Clinic on Monday, Jan. 9. The clinic will be located in Suite 100 of the Professional Building on Wilson Health’s main campus at 915 W. Michigan St. in Sidney.

The After Hours Clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointments are necessary and the clinic will be staffed by skilled and experienced medical professionals of Wilson Health Medical Group.

For five years, Wilson Health has offered the community urgent care services. Following a year-long evaluation the decision was made to transition Wilson Health’s Urgent Care to an After Hours Clinic model. Effective, Jan. 9, Wilson Health will no longer offer urgent care services at its Outpatient Services location.

“Having the After Hours Clinic located within the Wilson Health Medical Group network will allow greater access for both established and non-established patients,” said Mark Dooley, president and CEO for Wilson Health. “Most patients should expect a lower out of pocket cost than the current urgent care setting and be cared for and treated for the same minor illnesses and injuries.”

The new After Hours Clinic will be located in the new 48,000 square foot Thomas Boecker Professional Building.

“When we completed the construction of the Thomas Boecker Professional Building, the long term plan was to eventually integrate and add healthcare services that would improve patient access and meet the ongoing health needs of the community,” Dooley said. “It makes sense to open and operate the After Hours Clinic out of our Suite 100 family medicine and internal medicine practices where we can provide follow-up and future care for both existing and new patients.”

Wilson Health After Hours Clinic will offer treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries including: asthma, colds, cough, earache, flu, pink eye, rashes, insect bites, minor burns, cuts/lacerations, respiratory infections, seasonal allergies, sore throat, sprains and strains.

Wilson Health After Hours Clinic will accept many insurance plans. Co-pays will apply. The clinic will accept cash, checks and credit cards. Payment will be expected at the time of service. Walk-ins welcome and no appointments are necessary.
