UNION CITY, Ind. – Ansonia lost 65-55 to Union City, Indiana, in a boys basketball game Saturday night.
Ansonia led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter, but Union City went into halftime up 32-31. The home team increased its lead to 47-39 in the third quarter on its way to a 10-point victory.
Devyn Sink led Ansonia with a game-high 26 points. Also for the Tigers, Brayden Swabb scored 9 points, Hunter Muir scored 7, Aydan Sanders scored 6, Trevor Alexander scored 4, and Matthew Shook scored 3.
Trevor Thompson led Union City with 17 points, Tyler Thornhill scored 16, Chase Jefferies scored 15, Aaron Foster scored 6, Weston Mote scored 6, and Trevor Spence scored 5.
Ansonia fell to 6-7 with the loss. The Tigers will play host to National Trail on Friday.
