SIDNEY – The Mississinawa Valley girls basketball team lost 66-42 at Lehman Catholic on Saturday.
After falling behind 17-5 in the first quarter, Mississinawa Valley cut its deficit to 31-22 in the second quarter. Lehman led 47-24 through three quarters on its way to the 66-42 win.
Kelsie Hunt led Mississinawa Valley with a game-high 18 points. Also for the Lady Hawks, Mikayla Stump scored 12 points, Bailey Johnson scored 9, Olivia Murphy scored 2, and Kylie Willis scored 1.
Alanna O’Leary led Lehman with 11 points. Also for the Cavaliers, Abby Schutt scored 9 points, Hannah Fogt scored 8, Rylie McIver scored 8, Grace Brandt scored 6, Brogan McIver scored 6, Grace Monnin scored 6, Lauren McFarland scored 5, Grace Olding scored 3, Allison Bornhorst scored 2, and Emily Fogt scored 2.
Mississinawa Valley dropped to 1-14 with the loss while Lehman Catholic improved to 6-8.
