UNION CITY – Mississinawa Valley lost 86-61 to Bethel in a Cross County Conference girls basketball game on Wednesday.
The game was close early with Bethel leading 17-13 through one quarter and Mississinawa Valley leading 38-35 at halftime. Bethel took a 65-49 lead in the third quarter and pulled away further in the fourth quarter for the 86-61 win.
Kelsie Hunt led Mississinawa Valley with a game-high 29 points on Wednesday. Also for the Lady Hawks, Mikayla Stump scored 22 points, and Sidnie Hunt scored 5.
Morgan Crase led Bethel with 21 points. Also for the Bees, Alaina Hawthorn scored 16, and Sarah Swisher scored 10.
Mississinawa Valley fell to 1-15 overall and 0-9 in the CCC with the loss. Bethel improved to 6-8 overall and 3-5 in the CCC.
