Greenville wrestling team finishes 8th at Celina Lions Invitational

CELINA – Greenville’s wrestling team placed eighth out of 15 teams at the Celina Lions Invitational on Saturday.

Wapakoneta won the team championship with 257 points. Napoleon finished second with 237, Gibsonburg placed third with 229.5, Bellevue was fourth with 208.5, Celina finished fifth with 191.5, Van Wert was sixth with 141, and Delphos Jefferson finished seventh with 121.5.

Greenville and Evergreen tied for eighth place with 90.5 points each, Goshen finished 10th with 85, Madison Plains was 11th with 80, Connor finished 12th with 72, Lima Senior was 13th with 44, Paulding placed 14th with 42, and Antwerp was 15th with 15 points.

Greenville had four individuals place in the top six of their weight classes. Austin Lacey placed third in the 113 pound class, Dean Hurd placed fourth in the 126 pound class, Jacob Goldsmith placed fourth in the 145 pound class, and Landin Brown placed sixth in the 220 pound class.
