GREENVILLE — A local yoga studio will now have more room for its students and teachers to stretch, meditate and unwind.
Nature’s Heart Yoga, 120 West Third Street in Greenville, which previously shared the building with The Canteen Shop, has moved into the larger portion of the building, effective April 1, with The Canteen Shop now returning to its online-only business model.
Nature’s Heart Yoga, formerly elementsLife Yoga, will be having a “grand reopening” April 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. during Greenville’s First Friday event, allowing the public to check out the new digs.
Erica Menke, Nature’s Heart owner and instructor, said she is excited for the new possibilities and opportunities coming.
“This will give us the opportunity to expand, to open it up to a lot more people,” Menke said. “With our former space, we were very limited on our class sizes, workshops.”
So far, the reviews are good.
“Everybody’s very excited with the new layout,” she said. “There’s been no big changes, just an opportunity for more growth.”
Menke said with the additional room on hand, she is considering adding some retail offerings, including t-shirts, oils and other yoga accessories.
A new six-week Beginners series starts April 6. Menke says for those new to yoga or returning from a time off or from an injury, the Beginners series is a great place to learn the foundational poses, breath work, modifications, and use of props.
Nature’s Heart Yoga offers a variety of classes catered to every yoga student’s needs and experience. Private sessions are available by appointment.
