COLUMBUS – Greenville moved up three spots to No. 3 in the second Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association state poll of the 2017 season.
After being ranked No. 6 in Division II in the first poll of the season, Greenville moved ahead of Clinton Massie, Kenton Ridge and Oak Harbor and into the No. 3 spot this week. The Lady Wave remained behind Hebron Lakewood and LeGrange Keystone.
Greenville is the lone Darke County team to be ranked in the OHSFSCA poll this season. The Lady Wave have been ranked in 79 of the last 80 state polls.
Other teams with Darke County connections ranked in the poll include Greater Western Ohio Conference member Lebanon being ranked No. 1in Division I, Midwest Athletic Conference member Parkway being ranked No. 5 in Division IV, MAC member New Bremen being ranked No. 6 in Division IV, and Cross County Conference member Newton being ranked No. 10 in Division IV.
