GREENVILLE — Main Street Greenville’s June 2 First Friday event brought in a packed crowd.
The monthly event, this month sponsored by the Jordan Agency, is presented by Main Street Greenville. Some of the festivities included: indoor and outdoor musicians, a Volunteer Fair with 20 non-profit organizations (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke counties, Brookdale Greenville, Darke County Board of Developmental Disability, Darke County Chapter American Red Cross, Darke County Park District, Darke County Pregnancy Help Center, Final Bow: Center for Children’s Performing Arts, Fish Choice Pantry, Friends of the Greenville City Parks, Fort Greenville Daughters of the American Revolution, Gateway Youth Programs, Greenville Business and Professional Women’s Club, La Leche League of Greenville/Darke County, Miami Valley Adaptive Sports, Recovery & Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio, Safehaven, Inc., Specialized Alternatives for Family and Youth – Sidney, State of the Heart Hospice, Youth for Christ of the Miami Valley and “We Are the Majority”) offering a family friendly activity; free freshly grilled hot dogs and bratwurst by Greenville National Bank; a dance performed by Final Bow: Center for Children’s Performing Arts and the Darke County Board of Developmental Disability; First Heavy Metal Church of Christ and First Congregational Christian Church presented a family friendly movie and F45 offered a free workout session.
Main Street Greenville, a non-profit organization, is committed to stimulating and supporting revitalization efforts, historic preservation and economic growth in historic Downtown Greenville.
