BRADFORD — A Bradford woman spent the weekend in jail after reportedly hitting a Miami County Sheriff’s Office deputy and attempting to bite another deputy.

Amanda B. Graham, 38, of Bradford, was booked into the Miami County Jail this weekend on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, fourth-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest, first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence, and fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Graham was arraigned on those charges Monday morning.

According to Miami County Municipal Court records, Miami County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of Graham causing a disturbance and fighting with several people at a party on the 500 block of Staunton Avenue in Bradford on Saturday at approximately 10:10 p.m. According to reports, other guests at the party had restrained Graham outside until deputies arrived. Once deputies arrived and started to intervene, Graham reportedly began fighting and kicking one of the deputies. Graham was reportedly highly intoxicated during these incidents.

Graham’s behavior allegedly continued inside the cruiser as she repeatedly kicked the window in the patrol cruiser, according to reports. Deputies were forced to use leg restraints on Graham. Once at the jail, Graham reportedly urinated on herself and requested to go to the hospital. At Upper Valley Medical Center, Graham allegedly attempted to bite a deputy while the deputy, along with multiple nurses and hospital security staff, restrained her to retrieve a blood sample. Graham later reportedly hit another deputy in the chest.

Graham was released from the jail on bond Wednesday. A preliminary hearing for Graham is scheduled for July 11.
