Bradford volleyball loses to Troy Christian, Riverside

BRADFORD – The Bradford volleyball team began the 2017 season with losses to Troy Christian and Riverside.

Bradford began its season on Monday with a match at Troy Christian, which the Railroaders lost 25-20, 25-13, 25-23.

Bianca Keener led Bradford with seven points, two aces, three kills and one solo block. Cassie Mead had seven points with three aces, two kills and two digs. Hannah Fout had 10 setting assists on the night.

On Tuesday Bradford lost its home opener to Riverside 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.

Against Riverside, Macie Reck had seven points, one ace, and she led the Railroaders with 14 digs. Mead had six points with seven digs and one kill on the night. Keener had two points, one ace, two solo blocks and eight kills. Fout had 10 assists for the match.

Bradford, which is now 0-2 on the season, will play at Parkway on Thursday then will play in the Greenville Federal Tournament on Saturday at Franklin Monroe.
