New Madison News: Annual beef pot pie supper upcoming

Time for a hearty and home cooked meal. The United Methodist Church invites the public to its annual beef pot pie supper on Saturday, September 9.

The beef pot pie is prepared under the guidance of Ron and Ruby Turner and Margaret Smith who prepared this popular dish weekly at the old New Madison buffet.

Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until all of the pot pie is served. The menu includes fresh peeled and cooked potatoes, mashed with lots of butter. There will be vegetable sides, salads and rolls. Homemade desserts will be your choice. This is a freewill offering and it supports the church’s local mission work. Take out can be ordered.

Football will be in town on the 8th. Support the Patriots as they welcome Bethel.

A tri match in varsity volleyball will be held on the 9th with Stivers and Troy Christian. Cross Country will be at the Brookville invitational.

This week’s congratulations is sent to Donna Gabbard. Happy birthday to a special lady. Donna marked her 95th birthday on September 4. It is never too late for a card. Send it to P.O. Box 300, New Madison, 45346.
