CELINA – The Versailles boys and girls golf teams both won Midwest Athletic Conference matches against Coldwater on Monday at the Mercer County Elks Golf Club.
Versailles’ girls beat Coldwater 185-254 on the front nine at the Elks.
Lauren Durham was the match medalist with a nine-hole round of 44. Also for the Lady Tigers, Morgan Heitkamp shot a 46, Jorja Pothast shot a 46, Morgan Barlage shot a 49, Anna Groff shot a 53, and Ali Moran shot a 71.
Emma Eckstein led Coldwater with a round of 57. Also for the Cavaliers, Lexi Wright shot a 62, Payton Kunk shot a 63, Abby Ashbaugh shot a 72, and Sarah Diller shot a 72.
The Versailles girls improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the MAC with the win.
Versailles’ boys beat Coldwater 175-185 on the back nine at the Elks.
Versailles’ Will Eversole was the match medalist with a nine-hole round of 41. Also for the Tigers, Connor VanSkyock shot a 42, PJ Platfoot shot a 44, Alex Keiser shot a 48, Austin Pleiman shot a 48, and Ethan Kremer shot a 53.
Caden Seitz led Coldwater with a round of 44. Also for the Cavaliers, Andrew Fisher shot a 46, Trey Wolters shot a 47, Alex Worms shot a 48, Nathan Kaiser shot a 50, and Michael Schoenherr shot a 54.
The Versailles boys improved to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the MAC with the win.
Versailles’ golf teams both will play host to Delphos St. John’s at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.
