Greenville hosts Ohio Horseshoe Pitchers Association state tournament

GREENVILLE – The best horseshoe pitchers from across Ohio competed at the Ohio Horseshoe Pitchers Association state tournament in the Greenville City Park.

Caiden Hogue won the Cadets A division with a 4-0 record and 46.62 ringer percentage, and Zander Potts finished second with a 2-2 record and 31.88 ringer percentage.

Forrest Fourman won the Cadets B division with a 1-3 record and 4.43 ringer percentage.

Cameron Hogue won the Cadets C division with a 2-2 record and 6.25 ringer percentage.

Lauren Park won the Junior Girls A division with a 4-0 record and 9.49 ringer percentage.

Alex Francis won the Junior Boys A division with a 2-2 record and 30.41 ringer percentage.

Regan Christ won the Junior Boys B division with a 2-2 record and a 32.69 ringer percentage, and Ryan Fourman finished second with a 0-4 record and 21.88 ringer percentage.

Jaxon Christ won the Junior Boys C division with a 2-2 record and a 6.25 ringer percentage, and Bradley Norrod finished second with a 1-3 record and a 4.38 ringer percentage.

Roy Dugguer won the Elders A division with a 7-0 record and a 72.70 ringer percentage, Francis Salyers finished second with a 6-1 record and a 71.20 ringer percentage, Rich Knerem Sr. finished third with a 4-3 record and 71.35 ringer percentage, Delbrt Fourman finished fourth with a 4-3 record and a 69.58 ringer percentage, Larry Shaw Sr. finished fifth with a 4-3 record and a 68.09 ringer percentage, Harvey Strausbaugh finished sixth with a 2-5 record and a 61.75 ringer percentage, Tom Reynolds finished seventh with a 1-6 record and a 58.08 ringer percentage, and John Brown finished eighth with a 0-7 record and a 47.55 ringer percentage.

Ralph Fleckenstein won the Elders B division with a 5-0 record and a 58.80 ringer percentage, Jim Rhymer finished second with a 4-1 record and a 56.02 ringer percentage, Gary Proof finished third with a 3-2 record and a 57.94 ringer percentage, Joe Orihood finished fourth with a 2-3 record and 48.64 ringer percentage, John Knapp Sr. finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 48.35 ringer percentage, and Tom Kirk finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 42.06 ringer percentage.

Dave Rose won the Elders C division with a 5-0 record and a 55.61 ringer percentage, Ron Welsh finished second with a 3-2 record and a 48.53 ringer percentage, Bob Molnar finished third with a 3-2 record and a 41.43 ringer percentage, Wilfred Kahrig finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 37.89 ringer percentage, Lacey Moore finished fifth with a 2-3 record and a 33.33 ringer percentage, and Jack Baldwin finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 27.57 ringer percentage.

Don Honeyman won the Elders D division with a 3-2 record and a 38.49 ringer percentage, Dan Sanders finished second with a 3-2 record and a 37.05 ringer percentage, Harry Menegay finished third with a 3-2 record and a 36.25 ringer percentage, Ray Beyke finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 39.08 ringer percentage, Carl Slevin finished fifth with a 2-3 record and a 33.58 ringer percentage, and Richard Szabo finished sixth with a 2-3 record and a 30.83 ringer percentage.

Gregory Betz won the Elders E division with a 5-0 record and a 31.31 ringer percentage, Paul Rohrs finished second with a 4-1 record and a 32.38 ringer percentage, James Jacobs finished third with a 3-2 record and a 26.50 ringer percentage, Ernie Hockinberry finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 19.05 ringer percentage, Gerald Polk finished fifth with a 1-4 record and 20.53 ringer percentage, and Deo Seibel finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 22.06 ringer percentage.

Stacy Thompson won the Elders F division with a 5-0 record and a 27.50 ringer percentage, Joe Adams finished second with a 4-1 record and a 32.61 ringer percentage, John Franko finished third with a 3-2 record and a 23.74 ringer percentage, Jim Mossholder finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 17.50 ringer percentage, Roger Yocom finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 9.34 ringer percentage, and Dave Ackley finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 8.50 ringer percentage.

Alan Francis won the Men’s A division with a 5-0 record and an 87.79 ringer percentage, Darrin Potts finished second with a 3-2 record and a 56.18 ringer percentage, Darryl Miller finished third with a 3-2 record and a 51.26 ringer percentage, Gary Roberts finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 52.27 ringer percentage, Jeff Wells finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 41.50 ringer percentage, and Josh Brooks finished sixth with a 1-4 record and a 40.45 ringer percentage.

Dwain Klink won the Men’s B division with a 5-0 record and a 53.68 ringer percentage, Steve Mikesell finished second with a 3-2 record and a 42.57 ringer percentage, Hop Muter finished third with a 2-3 record and a 43.39 ringer percentage, Brian Fisher finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 37.70 ringer percentage, David Hampton finished fifth with a 2-3 record and a 37.60 ringer percentage, and Jan Sheppard finished sixth with a 1-4 record and a 23.11 ringer percentage.

Mike Slay won the Men’s C division with a 4-1 record and a 39.35 ringer percentage, Dick Lucas finished second with a 4-1 record and a 35.71 ringer percentage, Doug Singer finished third with a 3-2 record and a 34.96 ringer percentage, Ron St. Clair finished fourth with a 3-2 record and a 30.53 ringer percentage, Tom Guill finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 29.13 ringer percentage, and John Forehand finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 25.85 ringer percentage.

Fred Sanford won the Men’s D division with a 4.5-0.5 record and a 24.78 ringer percentage, Michael Young finished second with a 4-1 record and a 26.29 ringer percentage, Neil Teaford finished third with a 3.5-1.5 record and a 27.27 ringer percentage, Martin Russell finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 29.24 ringer percentage, Ray Wells finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 14.81 ringer percentage, and Jeffrey Kern finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 13.84 ringer percentage.

John Hawk won the Men’s E division with a 4-1 record and a 33.01 ringer percentage, Matt Slay finished second with a 4-1 record and a 22.08 ringer percentage, Henry McFarland finished third with a 4-1 record and a 15.95 ringer percentage, Tracy Schoenholtz finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 13.36 ringer percentage, and Randy Shoemaker finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 8.77 ringer percentage.

Geoffrey Betz won the Men’s F division with a 5-0 record and a 18.60 ringer percentage, Brett Dehart finished second with a 3-2 record and a 11.20 ringer percentage, Larry Fourman finished third with a 3-2 record and a 7.44 ringer percentage, Pat Park finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 14.40 ringer percentage, Marvin Paul finished fifth with a 2-3 record and a 7.60 ringer percentage, and Kenny Black finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 6.00 ringer percentage.

Amy Francis won the Women’s A division with a 5-0 record and a 73.74 ringer percentage, Sherrill Hambel finished second with a 4-1 record and a 49.53 ringer percentage, Marlene Cooper finished third with a 3-2 record and a 54.88 ringer percentage, Cindy Rose finished fourth with a 2-3 record and a 30.39 ringer percentage, Sandy Dehart finished fifth with a 1-4 record and a 38.68 ringer percentage, and JB Brown finished sixth with a 0-5 record and a 26.61 ringer percentage.

Margaret Potter won the Women’s B division with a 6-0 record and a 37.92 ringer percentage, Suzie Bowling finished second with a 4-2 record and a 30.77 ringer percentage, Shawnda Dehart finished third with a 4-2 record and a 25.42 ringer percentage, Shirley Thompson finished fourth with a 3-3 record and a 32.17 ringer percentage, Ruth White finished fifth with a 3-3 record and a 22.84 ringer percentage, Carol Sanford finished sixth with a 1-5 record and a 13.14 ringer percentage, and Jean Bowling finished seventh with a 0-6 record and a 5.91 ringer percentage.
