



ARCANUM – The Franklin Monroe girls basketball team beat host Arcanum 32-25 on Saturday to win the inaugural Lady Trojan Tip-Off tournament.
After taking a 10-6 lead in the opening quarter Saturday night, Franklin Monroe held Arcanum scoreless in the second period to build a 19-6 advantage. The Trojans cut their deficit to 24-23 in the third quarter, but the Jets pulled away in the fourth quarter to win by 7 points.
Corina Conley led Franklin Monroe with a game-high 10 points in the championship game. Also for the Jets, Belle Cable scored 9 points, Chloe Brumbaugh scored 5, Audrey Cable scored 2, Tara Goubeaux scored 2, Kennedy Morris scored 2, and Chloe Peters scored 2.
Gracie Garno led Arcanum with 9 points on Saturday. Also for the Trojans, Kayla O’Daniel scored 6 points, Lexi Unger scored 5, Camille Pohl scored 2, Elliana Sloan scored 2, and Elle Siculan scored 1.
Franklin Monroe’s Corina Conley was named the MVP of the Lady Trojan Tip-Off. She was joined on the all-tournament team by Brookville’s Katlin Pistone, Arcanum’s Gracie Garno, Arcanum’s Kayla O’Daniel, Franklin Monroe’s Belle Cable and Franklin Monroe’s Kennedy Morris.
In the Lady Trojan Tip-Off consolation game, Brookville beat Northwestern 40-30.
Franklin Monroe beat Arcanum for the Lady Trojan Tip-Off junior varsity championship.
