YELLOW SPRINGS – Ansonia’s girls basketball team earned its first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Yellow Springs 53-43.

Katie Werts led the Tigers with 19 points and five steals in the win. Trinity Henderson had 13 points and three steals. Bailey Stammen had 9 points and eight rebounds. Heidi Runkel scored 5 points. Kassy Wentworth scored 4 points. Kierra Reichert added 3 points.

Ansonia, which improved to 1-4 with Saturday’s win, will return to action on Thursday at home with a Cross County Conference game against Mississinawa Valley.
