LIMA – The Versailles girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 52-51 at Lima Bath.
Bath led 11-7 at the end of the first quarter and 23-20 at halftime. The Wildkittens led 40-37 through three quarters and hung on for the 1-point win.
Kami McEldowney led Versailles with 23 points on Saturday. Also for the Tigers, Danielle Winner scored 8 points, Elizabeth Ording scored 7, Danielle Kunk scored 6, Caitlin McEldowney scored 3, Hailey McEldowney scored 3, and Ellen Peters scored 1.
Versailles fell to 8-1 with Saturday’s loss. The Tigers will play host to Fort Loramie on Dec. 23.
