Mississinawa Valley boys basketball team loses at Randolph Southern

LYNN, Ind. – Randolph Southern mounted a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the Mississinawa Valley boys basketball team 50-46 on Saturday.

Mississinawa Valley led 14-9 at the end of the first quarter and 23-19 at halftime. The Blackhawks increased their lead to 36-28 in the third quarter, but the Rebels outscored the Hawks 22-10 in the fourth quarter to win by 4 points.

Ethan Bowman led Mississinawa with 13 points on Saturday. Also for the Blackhawks, Matt Slob scored 10 points, Trent Collins scored 9, DJ Howell scored 5, Cody Dirksen scored 3, Max Dirmeyer scored 2, Will Hall scored 2, and Blake Scholl scored 2.

Mississinawa Valley fell to 7-5 with the loss. The Blackhawks will play host to Bradford on Tuesday.

Mississinawa Valley’s boys beat Randolph Southern 36-35 in the junior varsity game.

Josh Fett led MV with 11 points, Trey Godfrey scored 10, Blayne Johnson scored 7, Levi Ward scored 4, Wyatt Feltner scored 2, and Justin Miller scored 2.
