Greenville softball team run rules Sidney

SIDNEY – Greenville run ruled Sidney 14-1 in six innings of Greater Western Ohio Conference softball on Monday.

Greenville scored the game’s first seven runs with four in the first inning and three in the second. After Sidney scored its lone run in the bottom of the second, Greenville added one run in the third, two in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Greenville had 13 hits and one error while Sidney had three hits and five errors.

Baylee Petry was 3-for-5 with a double, a RBI and a run. Nyesha Wright was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and two RBIs. Morgan Gilbert was 2-for-2 with a double, three walks, four runs and a RBI. Haleigh Mayo was 2-for-4 with a RBI.

Cassie Cromwell was 1-for-2 with a home run, was hit by two pitches, scored two runs and drove in four runs. Lani Shilt was 1-for-3, walked and scored two runs. Zoe Pressnall was 1-for-3 with a RBI. Chloe Sowry was 1-for-3. Sydney Grote walked once, scored a run and drove in two runs. Courtney Bryson was hit by a pitch and scored a run. Allison Powell scored a run.

Caitlin Christman pitched five innings, allowing one earned run on two hits, no walks and one strikeout. Grace Shaffer pitched one scoreless inning, allowing one hit and no walks.
