TROY – There is still time to see works of art and photography by local artist Theresa Smith at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center.

Guests have the opportunity to see the display through Oct. 14.

Smith is an award-winning artist and photographer whose mother nurtured her passion for creating at an early age. She did this by making a supply-filled home art studio for the young to explore. As a young adult, Smith began discovering a variety of artistic mediums through the curriculum offered at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center.

Her love for photography and the photograph’s representation of a moment in time strongly influences her art. Capturing beautiful or unique images during her travels fills her heart with joy.

“I hope my art and photography, created from the heart, will touch and inspire others and their inner creativity,” Smith said said.

The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is supported by the citizens of the Troy City School District through a local tax levy and gifts to the Friends of Hayner.

Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is located at 301 W. Main St., Troy. Hours of operation are Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday9a.m.-9p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday 1-5 p.m. The Hayner Center is closed on holidays.
