Ansonia stayed put at No. 4 in the Division VII, Region 28 computer rankings this week.
The Tigers defeated National Trail 20-17 last week to improve to 5-2 on the season. They host Twin Valley South this week for Homecoming. The Panthers are 4-3 so far. After TVS, Ansonia travels to Tri-Village (3-4) on Oct. 19 and then hosts Bradford (0-7) on Oct. 26.
Mississinawa Valley fell out of the top 12 this week after its 64-20 loss to top-ranked Fort Loramie. The Blackhawks (3-4) are now ranked 13th in Region 28. They will host National Trail (3-4) this week. The last two weeks for Mississinawa Valley include a home game against Arcanum (1-6) on Oct. 19 and then a road game at Bethel (4-3) on Oct. 26.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association released the official weekly football computer ratings Tuesday afternoon. The weekly computer ratings are released every Tuesday beginning in the fifth week of the season, leading up to the final report on Sunday, Oct. 28, when 224 schools (top 8 in each region) will officially qualify for the playoffs.

The top 12 schools in each region are listed below by division and region with record and average points. The football page at OHSAA.org includes an explanation of how the ratings are calculated. The top eight teams in each region in the final report will qualify for the playoffs.
Of the 718 OHSAA member schools playing varsity football this fall, the largest 72 schools are in Division I, while the remaining schools are divided equally in Divisions II through VII (approximately 108 schools in each division).
