Versailles FFA hosts its 3rd Farmers Market/Fall Harvest Sale

VERSAILLES – The Versailles FFA conducted its third annual Farmers Market/Fall Harvest Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 22 at Versailles High School.

There were light refreshments served along with apple cider slushes.

The vendors for the event included mums and fall arrangements from the Versailles Ag Ed Department; butchered whole broiler chickens from Kobe Epperly as part of his SAE; wooden decorative signs and crates and canning items from the Schmitmeyer family; goat milk ice cream and fudge and soap from Noah and Delaney Barga as part of his SAE; pumpkins from Elliot and Elise George as part of their SAE; honey, creamed honey and honey butter from Nathan and Phillip Grogean as part of their SAE; mums, pumpkins and gourds from Aultman Farms; Hinton farm toys and barns from Kris Hinton; produce and baked goods from Bohman Produce; apples, caramel and cider from Downing Fruit Farm; assorted homemade baked goods from Joan Grilliot; Henry’s Horseshoe Art from Ron Henry; Monica Goubeaux and Associates from Mary Kay Makeup; Thirty One from Kim Blanton; Grandma Sue’s Floral Arrangements and Wreaths from Sue Christian; Adorable Stitches from Laura Schwieterman; Party Times Mixes from Holly Rismiller; Fit Kicks athletic shoes and running accessories from Dale Brandt; Do Terra Wellness and homemade crafts from Krista Heckman; Tastefully Simple from Kristin Lewber and LuLaRoe Clothing from Dawn Shimp.

The activities allowed Nathan and Phillip Grogean, Elliot and Elise George, Noah and Delaney Barga, Shelbie and Renea Schmitmeyer and Kobe Epperly to market and sell their SAEs at the fair.

Also available was pumpkin painting for the kids and a lunch stand to help raise money for the FFA members competing in national FFA contests, which includes Toby George, Deanna Hesson, Dallas Hess and Shiloh Hess.

Versailles FFA thanked Jill Gehret, Nancy Albers, Linda Berger and Cathy Peters for making the supplies lunch stand. Versailles FFA thanked all of the vendors for the supporting and coming out to make the event a great success. It also thanked Brian Pearson for donating one of the harvest sale’s tents, and Bill Didier for donating the tables.

Caden Buschur helped sell Delaney and Noah Barga’s goat milk ice cream and soap as a part of their SAE at the Versailles FFA Fall Harvest Sale.
